It’s end of year and the plan is that you’ll hear a lot from me before 2026.

While I’m cooking up some edifying content - by the grace! - here are two things:

Thank you so much for your support of “Is God Good?”
Made this video about a viral social experiment where churches turned away a starving baby. I’d say “hope you enjoy!”, but the topic is a miserable one, so I’ll say, “let’s repent saints”, instead.

God Is So Good

Thank you for all the prayer and showing up that went into “Is God Good”.

After this first test run, our church is confident that people are hungry for community conversations just like these, so we plan to keep them coming.

I have a mini-movie about the event in the works that should get to you before the year is out, but here are some quick highlights:

The Is God Good website was visited 5,796 unique times between Oct. 10-Oct. 26 (day of the event) by people who live in our county. That is huge. Huge.
We had 8 “strangers” sign up. These are people completely disconnected from our church. Experts say that generally you can expect no strangers to sign up, let alone come to an event like this. Now, they signed up, so the next question is did they come? ….I’ll share that in the final “Is God Good?” dedicated newsletter 😂 .
Last, but not least, believers and non-believers were helped by the talk, saying that the answer given had a coherence and power that was deeply moving.

Would Your Church Feed A Starving Baby?

I stumbled upon this viral social experiment and was fascinated by it. Fascinated enough to let it derail my content calendar and make a 30 minute video essay on it 😵‍💫 .

The short of it: Nikalie Monroe, a TikToker, conducted a social experiment calling religious organizations to see if they would give her 1 can of baby formula for her starving 2 month old.

Most wouldn’t.

If you’re tempted but not sure if you should click the video, I’ll also share that Joel Olsteen and Charlie Kirk’s former church were among the churches she called.
