Jesus In Your Search Engine

What Patience Produced Vol. 1

What Patience Produced is our end of year series to catch you up on how your support has kept us patient and how it has led to fruit.

Fruit: LBCC’s online ministry Life, Love & Good Days (LLG) 🙌

Why LLG? 🤔

We started Life, Love & Good Days because we want people to meet Jesus where they are already pursuing happiness:

On the internet (5.4 billion of us 🤯 )

King David & Apostle Peter were spot on when they said,

Their ancient wisdom teaches us that holiness is the way to happiness.

As a church, we want to imitate our God who routinely gives far better than we ask.

So, when someone googles, “How to get over your ex?” we want them to find Jesus on their journey.

Stools. Always. 🪑 😆

LLG’s first project was this Summer where we tried to have 100 spiritual conversations with strangers.

…..we only got to 30. But for good reason! The people we ran into were Chatty-Pattys lol!

Folks sat down and stayed a while 😄

PRO TIP 💡 : Want strangers to talk? Give them a stool. Simple!

Average conversation was 27 minutes. One went for 3 hours!

(He was a PhD Neuroscience candidate at Yale and I’m nosy 🤣)

Fruit From Summer Convos

  1. Our church members were on mission! Stories to come.

  2. People we’ve met on the street are connecting with us in-person 🙌 . That’s the goal.

  3. Summer conversations & online presence have translated to our largest Food & Food (our intro to Christianity class). 6/8 participants are not church goers.

  4. People are willing to have spiritual conversations. In the 5th most irreligious state in the country, that means something.

THANK YOU & P.S.A 📣

Our online ministry is off to a great start because of your prayers, giving and counsel. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This edition is almost wrapped but first! A PSA:

  • Prayer For Wisdom - I haven’t had social media since 2010. Please pray for wisdom.

  • Share & Subscribe - #1 metric on social media right now is the amount of times a post has been shared. Drop a link in a group text with a, “What do you guys think?”.

  • Ask - During our Summer conversations, 2 participants followed up with asking us a question online. Would you please do the same?

Issue #2 next week 🙌 .

Life, Love & Good Days to you!
